The Bait House Restaurant is one of Clearwater Beach’s hidden gems. The company doubles as a live and artificial bait shop, as well as, a waterfront restaurant. Upon entering the establishment you will find hooks, lures, live bait, fishing rods and any other necessities you may need for your fishing trip.
As you pass through the Bait Shop you exit out to the back of the little building. Once you pull yourself together, after the shock of the amazing views, you will see The Bait House Restaurant offering both table and bar seating. The tables can be covered by umbrellas on request, but I recommend living like a true Floridian and enjoy the warm sunshine.
While waiting for your food you can enjoy one of the many beer or wine selections available. The bar staff is friendly and eager to serve you the best seafood on the beach. The Bait House Restaurant has a modest menu consisting of the freshest local seafood as well as a few non seafood dishes. They make an amazing fish taco that will have you praising the chef on your way out. If you are not in the mood for a taco you can also enjoy fresh seafood on bun or platter, it doesn’t matter. It all tastes GREAT!
If you are looking for some of Florida’s freshest seafood you have to make The Bait House Restaurant a priority on your vacation itinerary. As for us locals, the word is out and spreading fast! The Bait House Restaurant is a great new place for us to frequent. The fish tacos are to die for and all of the vegetables are organically grown. The Bait House Restaurant has a large selection of beer and wine, offering something for everyone. So stop in and kill some time watching the boats pass by and soak up the sunshine.

What a great place and the FOOD! WOW! Love the fish tacos definitely my favorite although everything thing I have tried so far has been great. This is one of those restaurants that if you are visiting you will definitely won’t want to miss. As for the rest of us that live here…we just consider ourselves lucky to have a place like this pop up in our beach community. I wish you all the best!

What a wonderful place to relax and grab lunch! We enjoyed the fish tacos and shrimp quesadillas. The deck is perfectly positioned to watch the boats go by while lazily starring at the water. We’ll definitely be back!!! Thanks for turning us onto this new “hot spot”.

Had lunch today out on the deck. I had the fish platter with veggies and cole slaw. It was truely amazing. The fish was perfectly grilled with a very fresh taste along with the best tasting vegetables and cole slaw. This is by far my most favorite place to eat and hang out on a sunny day. Once I leave, I can hardly wait to come back again. My only fear is this place will become so popular, that I will have to wait in line to eat. So far, no waiting in lines. The service is great.

I have had lunch twice at the bait house. The food was delicious. I had the grilled fish platter with fresh veggies and cole slaw and the fish tacos both were excellent. It is the perfect place to go on a sunny afternoon for lunch.

When James asked his mother and I to meet them at the Bait House for lunch, I thought perhaps he had fallen on hard times. Well, after determining that we had a different menu than the bait selection list, we were most pleasantly surprised. Besides a beautiful setting, outside on the deck, the warmth of the wait staff, the freshly prepared entrees and a nice selection of wine, we became immediate fans and look forward the next time we visit from Oklahoma; that will be in April.
